Goodbye Summer...Hello Coffee

September usually means the end of summer and the start of school, but due to the pandemic, most kids are learning from home. Whether you're teaching a class online, or teaching your children at the kitchen table, here are some coffees to wake you up and get you going.

Those who enjoy a smooth and creamy start to the day, should try September’s Exploration Coffee, Brazil Best Cup Carmo. Our newest Roaster Gold coffee is silky and heavy-bodied with honey-almond sweetness and caramel richness balanced by a hint of lemon curd and a lingering cocoa finish. Half roast bags, roasted at a Vienna roast level to heighten body and sweetness, will be available all September.

If you’re looking for a smooth and easy drinking coffee to keep you alert through long work days at home, try Mexico Baxtla. We’ll be shining the spotlight on this lovely coffee from Veracruz, Mexico in a few days, but it’s available now. The coffee features soft orange blossom brightness, chocolate richness and a lingering chocolate and candied citrus finish. Roast it light for a lively coffee bright enough to start your day. Take it darker for a sweeter, richer cup that's smooth enough to drink all day.

Many of you are aware that our website is having problems processing credit cards. Our tech team has been in contact with the website’s back end technical support and have learned that they are aware of the problem and are currently working to fix it. Unfortunately, they weren’t able to change the PayPal option to avoid having to sign into (or create a new) PayPal account before paying. If you’re comfortable signing into your PayPal account, that option has been working. This coming Monday, September 7, is Labor Day. We will be closed from noon on Friday, September 4, until 9 am Tuesday, September 8. All orders received over the three day weekend will be roasted and mailed on Tuesday.
