June's Newsletter (a little late)
Carrie Masek
Summer hit fast in northern Illinois and the warmer weather inspires some to shift to cold brew or iced coffee. Others drink hot coffee all year long. Whichever option appeals to you, June is a great month for coffee. Here are some for you to try.
Our Coffee of the Month for June is Cotton Candy Coffee, a lively breakfast coffee as bright as a summer morning, with a spritz of citrus that melts into a clean, refreshing finish. Cotton Candy Coffee will be available all month in both full and 1/2 roast bags.
Our Exploration Coffee for June is our brand new Organic Brazil Minas Gerais. Roasted to a Vienna roast level, this naturally processed coffee is beautifully smooth and full bodied, balanced, rich and sweet, with a creamy mouthfeel, lemongrass and plum topnotes, buttery cocoa richness and coffee candy sweetness, with a lingering dark chocolate and plum finish. Available in full and 1/2 roast bags all month.
Organic Brazil Minas Gerais is also a great coffee for cold brew. The cold brewing process turns the topnotes sweet and heightens the coffee’s buttery cocoa and coffee candy flavors. It’s smooth enough for iced coffee and flavorful enough to blend with milk for a cold latte. For something even more decadent, try it blended with ice cream for a frosty treat.
For those who prefer tea, we still have plenty Mighty Leaf tea, both cases of single serve pouches and commercial size boxes of Mighty Leaf Iced Tea. Both options brew into a refreshing tea that’s great over ice.
Finally, to thank all the readers of this blog, we’re offering a FREE 1/2 roast of coffee with your first order of the month. Just write “June” in the box for additional instructions (or send us a note) and we’ll include a 1/2 roast of Cotton Candy coffee with your first order this month. Sharing great coffee is our favorite way to celebrate the beginning of summer!
How do you plan to celebrate this summer? Trips to the beach, picnics in the park, or just hanging out on your porch enjoying long summer evenings, whatever you do, we’d love to hear about it. You can share your thoughts on the Facebook thread or in a comment on this blog. Or, if you'd like to share your opinion with the wider world, leave us a coffee review on Google or on your favorite review site. Not only do we value your opinions, but reviews help more people find us. Help us connect coffee lovers to fresh, quality coffee!
Thanks!
