Kona for Christmas
Carrie Masek
Here at Coffee by the Roast™, we just received an early holiday present, Kona Puanani. We usually have to wait until January for new crop Kona, but this year it came early. We get Kona for Christmas!
Hawaii is the only state in the US that grows coffee commercially, and Kona is by far the best known. With good reason! Good Kona is sweet and rich, like candied macadamia nuts, often brightened by a spritz of citrus. A sip can carry a person back to memories of Hawaiian vacations and breakfasts overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Everyone knows Kona, and the name itself is enough to make a coffee lover smile.
Not only is Kona early this year, we were able to buy more of it. Enough that we can use some to make a Kona Blend for those who love Kona, but hate spending almost $50 for a roast of coffee. Our Kona Blend combines Kona Puanani with a very compatible Central American coffee for a blend that has the flavor of Kona at less than half the price, $23.40 per roast.
For the month of December, we'll be offering 100% Kona Puanani and Kona Blend in both full roast and ½ roast gift bags.
Two great ways to give Kona for Christmas!
