Today, Friday, February 22, is George Washington’s birthday. If he were alive today, he would be 287 years old. None of us here at Coffee by the Roast are quite that old, but we’e old enough to remember when Washington’s birthday was a federal holiday. Only recently, we discovered that George and his wife, Martha, not only enjoyed coffee, but preferred it sweetened and often blended it with milk. That made us smile, because our favorite Washington’s birthday treat is a sweet and milky Cherry Vanilla Latte.
