Covid-19 Update and Tea (Black, Green and Herbal)

All of us here at Coffee by the Roast are healthy and being careful to stay that way. We will continue to custom roast coffee and ship it fresh to our customers’ doors as long as our health and the law permits. Starting this week, we will also offer Mighty Leaf brand tea to our online customers.

We chose Mighty Leaf tea for our wholesale customers way back in 2003. We love the silken cloth pouches Mighty Leaf uses instead of the standard tea bag and the tea in the pouches is whole leaf instead of shreds and bits. Also, their commercial iced tea is remarkably inexpensive for the quality. Unfortunately, since our wholesale customers have shifted to pick-up and delivery service only, they don’t need as much tea as usual. Many tea lovers, on the other hand, are drinking more tea than ever at home, both hot and iced.

During the stay-at-home order, retail customers may not be able to go to a coffee shop or restaurant to get their favorite tea, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be able to enjoy the same, high quality tea at home. That’s why we’ve put our Mighty Leaf tea on our website. The pouches are packaged 100 to a case, and the iced tea is packaged in a case of 30 - 3 oz packets. I grew up in a mixed household. My father drank coffee, but my mother only drank tea.
