Foolish Coffee Personality Quiz
Carrie Masek
Tomorrow is the first of April and April Fool's Day. In honor of the foolish in all of us, we thought it would fun to put together a (completely bogus, just for fun, and not to be taken seriously) quiz that uses your coffee preferences to reveal your personality traits. Since all of us here think in coffee terms, we’ll also use them to make specific coffee recommendations.
Our quiz is based on actual personality testing. We did our research, and there are several different personality tests used by professionals who study personality and personality disorders. We decided to base our (just for fun) test, on the OCEAN* model and its Big 5 Personality Traits.
Our test concerns four of the five major personality traits:
Openness to new experiences: The degree to which someone seeks adventure, or is curious about new things. Creative and imaginative people tend to score high on this measure.
Conscientiousness: The tendency to be organized and reliable. Focused and self-disciplined people tend to score high on this measure.
Extraversion: The tendency to seek interactions with other people. Sociable, talkative people tend to score high on this measure.
Agreeableness: The tendency to be compassionate and cooperative. People who are trusting or helpful tend to score high on this measure.
Since we believe that coffee lovers tend to be emotionally stable, happy folks, we decided to leave out the final trait:
Neuroticism: The tendency to experience unpleasant emotions. People who are often anxious or angry tend to score high on this measure.
Our Foolish Coffee Personality quiz consists of eight questions with four possible answers each. If none of the answers apply to you, just skip the question. Here you go:
