Thanksgiving Closing and Holiday Mailing
Carrie Masek
Next Thursday is Thanksgiving! Here at Coffee by the Roast, we’re getting ready to share a huge holiday meal with friends and family. We go all out: Turkey, stuffing, gravy, potatoes (mashed and sweet), cranberry sauce, and several different vegetables. After it all comes pie. Our favorite is pumpkin pie, served with fresh whipped cream and, of course, coffee.
Don’t risk a Thanksgiving without coffee. If you’re running low, please order as soon as possible. Orders received by noon on Monday, November 20, will be roasted and mailed that day.
With so much cooking and eating to do, we will be closed on Thanksgiving. Any orders we receive between noon, Wednesday, November 22, and noon, Friday, November 24, will be roasted and mailed on Friday. Orders received after noon on Friday will be roasted and mailed on Monday.
Holiday shopping season starts right after Thanksgiving. Soon, the USPS will be flooded with packages to deliver. It usually takes 2-3 days to travel via USPS Priority Mail from our roasting facility to your door. From now until the end of the holiday season, please figure your coffee’s journey will take an extra day or two.
The same goes for gift orders. This time of year, coffee gifts may well take an extra couple of days to reach their destination. Please order early. For Christmas presents, for instance, please order by noon, Monday, December 18. We’ll roast and mail the gifts that day so that even with holiday mail traffic, they should arrive before Christmas morning.
If you’re still hunting for holiday gift ideas, check out our Specialty Flavor page. That’s where you’ll find Custom coffees, Flavored coffees, and both full and ½ roast gift bags of coffee. Holiday labels are available on all gift orders for no extra charge. All you have to do is ask.
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
