Shipping rates are going up on February 1
Carrie Masek
Mailed any boxes lately? If so, you may have noticed that the USPS increased its Priority Mail rates on January 17. And it's not just the post office, Fed Ex and UPS have increased their rates as well.
Why? We haven't a clue. Wages are stagnate. Gas prices are down. If anything, postage and shipping rates should have dropped. Unfortunately, they increased instead, increased enough that we have to raise our $5 flat shipping and handling fee.
This is our first increase since we started selling online in 2009.
Effective February 1, our shipping and handling fee will increase a dollar to $6. The increase covers our cost to mail a single roast of coffee anywhere in the US. Order more roasts, and the difference in postage is on us.
For those close enough to pick up their coffee, we have a special coupon code that will remove the $6 charge. Just type pickup in the box for coupons. Please let us know when you plan to come. That way we can schedule your coffee's roasting to ensure it's as fresh as possible.
The best way to let us know is to leave a note in the box for "additional instructions." You can also call 847-578-0772 or drop us an email at mail@coffeebytheroast.com.
We value your business and regret the need to increase the cost of your coffee!
Sincerely,
The Coffee Geeks at Coffee by the Roast™
