Mother's, Memorial, and May Day Coffee!

Carrie Masek

Flowers are blooming and the weather is getting warmer, but spring mornings are still chilly enough for a good, hot cup of coffee. All of us here at Coffee by the Roast are excited for sipping a nice warm mug with the family at Mother's Day brunch and making cold brew coffee for those hot afternoons we know are coming maybe by Memorial Day’s picnic. Whether your weather is hot or cold, May is a great month for coffee.

Our Coffee of the Month for May is Springtime Twist, a lively, smooth bodied coffee with a subtle floral aroma  and a rich, lingering finish.  Springtime Twist is perfect for a Mother’s Day brunch or to sip all day long. Available in full and 1/2 roast bags all month.

Our Exploration Coffee this month is Brazil Conesol Farm Select. A single estate jewel from the highlands of Brazil. Naturally processed, Yellow Bourbon, heavy-bodied, creamy and sweet. A smooth and balanced coffee, with citrus and coriander topnotes, brown sugar sweetness, chocolate richness and a lingering spiced cocoa finish. Suggested Roast Level: Full City or Vienna to highlight smooth richness, Northern Italian or darker for an even sweeter, bolder cup Available in full and 1/2 roast bags all month.

Want to know a bit more about Brazil Conesol Farm Select? According to Cafe Imports: Conesol Farm, or Agropecuária Conesol, is owned by Lindalva de Oliveira Dutra Vivenza and sons, a family of Italian-Brazilian coffee producers who has been working in the coffee sector since the late 19th century. Conesol is Rainforest Alliance/UTZ certified, and the family is passionate about using the best practices in order to protect the land and environment, as well as their staff. It grows a Yellow Bourban varietal, a naturally occurring Typica mutation; selected from Ethiopian coffee cultivated in Yemen transplanted to Bourbon Island (now Réunion) in 18c

We wish all our customers good health, warmth, and delicious cups of coffee!
